This the colorful “part two” post on Courtney & Jack’s wedding, a follow up to the “part one” post that I released here.
After their ceremony at Trinity Methodist Church, Courtney and Jack boarded their horse and carriage for a trot on over to the recently renovated Memminger Auditorium for their colorful and visual feast of a reception!
As I mentioned in an earlier post, the Memminger Auditorium is a “black box” theater, a blank slate of sorts. Of course the options are endless as to what you may do with this blank slate, but it requires real skill and vision to turn it into a stunning work of art. It was a perfect opportunity for Kristin Newman Designs to let their imagination run wild and create a stunning backdrop to Jack & Courtney’s reception. Kristin Newman Designs enlisted the help of several local artists to help bring it all together:
Florals & Design: Gathering Floral + Event Design
Fabric Designs: Blossoms Events
Lighting: TEC Technical Event Company
The Memminger was visually split into two halves, a soft pink half for the sit down dinner and an electric fuchsia and blue side for wild and crazy dancing. It was the perfect way to keep guests fully entertained the entire time.
Courtney made for a stunning bride!

Guests were welcomed into the Memminger with tasty Arnold Palmers and champagne.

A view into the seated dinner. Look at the unbelievable fabric draping! Wow!

A detail shot of the seated dinner area catered by Cru. Florals by Gathering Floral + Event Design.

Jack & Courtney dance their first dance to “Ice Cram”, sung by Quiana Parler.

The wedding cake was by Jim Smeal, no less. The lighting on it was perfect! (Thanks TEC for making the lighting for photos excellent through out the reception!)

A yummy cake detail.

The all important cutting of the cake & toasts kicks of the dancing portion of the evening.

Quiana Parler, a former American Idol contestant(!) performed and was a powerhouse on stage!

One more detail shot!

Some family love on the dance floor.

At the end of the night, the brass trio from the band led guests out to the courtyard where guests lined up to send Courtney & Jack off through an arch of sparklers and farewells!

I loved this. Courtney’s grandfather went to the other side of the car and watched with his sparkler still burning. Congratulations Jack & Courtney Woodall!!!
