There’s nothing better than photographing a wedding for people you really enjoy and knowing that they are meant to be. Thus was the case for Grace and Bayne’s union on January 30, 2010. It was a wet and windy day, but there were no tears over the weather. These two were just happy to have their friends and family there for them on the big day.

Bayne and Grace were married at  The Church of the Holy Cross, on Sullivans Island. They were actually married in this older stone church, which sits behind the larger modern church.

Bayne proposed to Grace with a vintage engagement ring that he found at Croghans. From what Grace says, it is exactly what she had imagined an engagement ring should be!

This was a bit of a stressful moment as the dress was having zipper issues. I like the symbolism of the “ship in a storm” painting behind her as it goes with this particular moment.

Grace wore he mother’s vintage mantilla and her mother could not have been more thrilled. It has also been worn by Grace’s sisters.

I love a classic wedding photo, they are so iconic! I feel like this could be of my parent’s generation.

Jebb Graff, my second shooter, took this great photograph below moments after Grace and Bayne exited the church.

The seated dinner and reception were held at the Citadel Beach House, which was awash in Tiffany blue. The tables were named after the U.S. Military Alphabet, a nod to the fact that both Bayne and Grace are in the Army.
