Engagement Session with Allison & Nick

December 19, 2012This blog post is really all about Lucy, Meredith and Justin’s adorable little chihuahua mix. She was suppose to make her modeling debut in their wedding photos, but hurricane Sandy didn’t allow that plan. So, we decided to do a little photo shoot after the wedding where she could be the star and I could capture photos of the three of them.
Perhaps it’s because I used to have a chihuahua myself, but Lucy and I instantly warmed to each other and I didn’t even get a growl from her. She was quite the little lady and responded well to all my silly sounds. Anyone with pets knows that they are full bred members of the family and should be loved and cared for as such. Lucy was no exception and I think she is enjoying living the good life with her sweet and generous owners.

Boone Hall Engagement Session: Piper and Lucas
December 9, 2012I thoroughly enjoyed spending an afternoon with Piper and Lucas at Boone Hall for their engagement session. These two have an incredible relationship and they are so fun to be around. You can see it in the way they walk, they are just happy being together!
Charleston Engagement Session: Joanna & Will
October 22, 2012I had so much fun photographing one of the cutest couples ever for their engagement session recently. We met at the Dock Street Theatre and did a little walking photo tour of Charleston with photos in cute little nooks along the way. I love that they included their pup in a few. It’s hard not to smile around a little fluffball like Daisy! I’m can’t wait for the wedding!
Charleston Engagement Session: Rachel & Jason
September 5, 2012I love it when everything comes together for a perfect engagement session. We’d had to reschedule once already due to rain a few weeks ago. But I’m glad we did as the day we chose over Labor Day weekend was absolutely perfect. (Well… maybe it was a little hot, but we’ll take that over rain!)
Rachel and Jason are excited to bring their guests to Charleston and they wanted their photos to really highlight the feel of our city and show off what Charleston is known for- incredible oaks and amazing historic architecture.
Speaking of… did you know that Charleston has a high response rate (saying, YES!) for the weddings held here?! Of course it does!
Charleston Engagement Session: Alyson & Brian
August 23, 2012I had a lot of fun photographing these two during their engagement session. I like to think of them as “The South meets New York City.” Based in NYC, they have city smarts and Southern charm, it’s an awesome combination.

Charleston Engagement Session with Haley & Nich
May 25, 2012One of the lessons I’ve learned after yeas of photographing people outdoors is that retreating storms bring about the best light. When I woke up that morning, we were under a tropical storm watch for Alberto, who seems to develop out of the blue the night before. I was ready to reschedule the engagement session, but luckily, Haley didn’t get my text! So we met on an early Sunday morning down at the Battery and the conditions couldn’t have been any better. In addition to great light, there weren’t too many tourists out and even better, these two love the camera! I’m looking forward to their wedding in a few months for more smiles and fun photos.

Charleston Engagement Session: Jessica & Dave
April 30, 2012These two love birds drove alllll the way from Indiana to have their engagement session in downtown Charleston. What a great couple. I tried to make sure that we photographed in a lot of iconic Charleston areas all the while avoiding throngs of tourists.
