Smitten Magazine: Perfectly Polished

May 14, 2012

I LOVE color, so it was exciting to see the most recent issue of Smitten, which is all about… you guessed it, COLOR!  Becky Hoppmann, Smitten‘s cretive director and I got together to photograph the lovely baubles of color and debate which were our faves.

Lover.ly even shared one of the photos we took of the sparkly polish we used, that was exciting! Have you tried Lover.ly yet? So cool! It’s like Pinterest but just for wedding inspiration. It’s completely visual and you can even search by color.

Smitten Magazine: Signature Drink

April 9, 2012

I am salivating right now, dying for a big gulp of this prickly pear lemonade that was featured in the recent issue of Smitten Magazine.

Created by Squeeze Onsite, it’s too delicious not to include as a signature cocktail at your wedding. It will make all of your guests say, “Mmmmmm! they have good taste!”

Bowdre & Rob’s Wedding in Smitten Magazine!

March 12, 2012

I was so excited to see one of the most colorful weddings I photographed last year in the most recent issue of Smitten Magazine! The details and production behind this wedding were phenomenal, which is exactly what you’d expect when working with Calder Clark Designs. The amount of thought, planning and creativity that go into one of her creations is why I absolutely love working with her.

Bowdre is a complete sweetheart and she and Rob were so much fun to get to work with. After the ceremony at the Sanctuary, their guests had the night of a lifetime at their wedding reception at Mingo Point. We all wish we could do it over again!

Thank you to Jennifer Hitchcock who helped me photograph their wedding and Jebb Graff of Graff Creative who manned the photo booth that night. The full list of vendors is at the bottom of the post and be sure to check out the current issue of Smitten Magazine for more colorful goodness and wedding ideas!

January 27, 2012

January is a notoriously busy month for wedding planning. As we hit January 1st, how many of you said… “My wedding is this year!!!” and then frantically started adding to your list of “to do’s”? Well don’t panic yet, we’re here to help make the run up to your wedding day a little easier.

In the latest issue of Smitten Magazine, Emilie Dulles of Dulles Designs walks us through whether you should assign tables and/or seats for your guests and the best way to do it. I always love talking to Emilie and asking her my etiquette questions. She’s a gem! Read on to see what she has to say this month!

Smitten Magazine {Bridal Luncheon}

December 21, 2011

Detail photos from one of the most romantic bridal luncheons I’ve photographed were featured in the most recent issue of Smitten Magazine.

Gathering Events + Floral Design along with Kristin Newman Designs worked their magic to create “A Fairytale Affair”for Anne Marie. The love and care that went into the details is just amazing, from the heirloom china lovingly packed and brought to Charleston to the fact that Anne Marie’s dad played bartender. This is definitely one to check out!

Smitten Magazine {Signature Drink}

December 5, 2011

YUM! That’s all I can say about the “Perfect Pom-Tini” featured in the current issue of Smitten Magazine. Have you seen the latest issue?! It’s absolutely gorgeous and filled with some incredible photography from weddings around the world.

The best part of photographing said cocktail was the tasting part of the shoot. (That’s one of the perks, duh!)

Smitten: The Lookbook of Wedding Fancy Issue 2

September 20, 2011

I am so proud to share the news that the latest issue of Smitten is out! Billed as the “Lookbook of Wedding Fancy”, this issue features weddings from around the world. We’re talking weddings from New Zealand, to Maui to one incredible wedding that Jennifer Bearden and I photographed at Claxton Farm in Asheville, NC this past summer.

Also included in this latest issue is a fashion shoot I did with Maddison Row, Charleston’s “world class boutique”, as Town & Country calls them. We donned 10 models in couture gowns by Anne Bowen, Vera Wang and Carol Hannah with styling by the talented Hollie Wood Style.

Lastly, don’t miss another one of my favorite collaborations, photos of Stems‘ stems! The “other ” Anne Bowen, brilliant flower designer and owner of Stems Charleston, dishes on some of her fall picks.

You can read it all here!
