Over the years, I’ve learned that there are a few key ingredients that make for a great wedding. One of those, which Jo and Courtney had in abundance, is family support. From the fact that both of their parents are still married to including all their siblings in their wedding party, it was clear that their families were definitely behind this marriage.
Jo got ready at one of Charleston’s most iconic hotels, the John Rutledge House. This was a great spot for the bridesmaid’s photos before Jo and her dad got in the Bentley that would take them to the church. Jo and Courtney were married in Grace Cathedral, which recently re-opneed after extensive renovations.
The reception followed at the Hibernian Hall, after a few photos on Chalmers Street, of course! I know that Jo and Courtney must have been a little nervous during their seated dinner as afterwards, they performed the most amazing dance that included lifts and twirls. Those two are amazing! The dancing didn’t stop there, they tore up the dance floor the rest of the night.
Congratulations you two! We loved capturing it all for you.

I loved Rachel & Jason when I met them last year for their engagement session and I’ve been looking forward to their wedding ever since!
Their outdoor wedding was held at the Creek Club in I’on. Positioned with a view of the Hobcaw River and oaks draped with Spanish moss, it was the perfect Southern wedding. My favorite moment, other than when they bowed head-to-head during their prayer, was the way their faces lit up when they were pronounced husband and wife. It had just gone from a misty drizzle to rain rain, but that was just a sign that they didn’t mind what the weather was, as long as they were in it together. Douglas Farmer officiated and he is truly one of the kindest gentlemen that you’ll ever meet.
The whole night was that way, with Rachel smiling and Jason happy to be at her side. Friends of theirs played an acoustic set during their cocktail hour and Jason’s uncle DJ’ed for the reception. Rachel & Jason gave gifts of honey to their guests, which came from a friend’s farm.
All in all, it was a perfect evening for two souls. We wish you two the best!

Congratulations to Barbie & Brian! They had a fantastic wedding day. Though the rain threatened to dampen their spirits, it manages only to rain during their church ceremony. Then the sun came out in time for photos on Chalmers Street!
