Last night I photographed Garden & Gun magazine’s party celebrating four years in business. It was hosted by Andy & Anke Berlin in their stunning home downtown. The house, which has recently been renovated, reminded me of one of William Means clever tag lines on their for sale signs, “The Most Valuable Antique You’ll Ever Own”.
In true Garden & Gun style, the drink du jour was a Blenheim and bourbon mint julep. For those of you who don’t know about Blenheim’s ginger ale, you must try it. Made in Hamer, SC, it is the spiciest and most tasty ginger ale out there. Catering was by the Glass Onion, so of course there were pimento cheese finger sandwiches and homemade pickles being served. Yum!
Mayor Riley came to help celebrate Garden & Gun’s four years in business. He spoke of how appreciative we Charlestonians are of the culture, creativity and high level of writing and design this award winning magazine has on our city.
Congratulations on your first four years and here’s to many more!!!

Great photos!
