On a glorious Fall day, Erin and Ben were married at Magnolia Plantation. The air was clear and crisp and it was the perfect day to get married outside, under the oaks overlooking the Ashley River.
Erin worked with WED to plan and design her wedding day. It was warm and autumnal without screaming Halloween. The girls got ready at the carriage house and carried beautiful bouquets with monogrammed handkerchiefs. Several of the groomsmen, bring the guys that they are, bonded over shaved heads to go with Ben’s clean cut.
One of the things I love about working with WED is that they get things done! We talked about their list of family shots and WED allotted plenty of time for group photos before and after the ceremony as those were very important to Erin and Ben.
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed the cocktail hour and then were served a Lowcountry feast catered by Granvilles. Warm toasts and crazy dancing ensued… except by those stuck to their phones watching the Clemson and Tennessee games. (There were even some orange pants worn by one guest!) A fun photo booth inside got the guests donning all sorts of costumes with strips of photos to take home with them.
Erin and Ben wrapped up their night exiting under a showering of fall leaves. The Rolls-Royce that was Erin’s dream car to drive away in broke down on its way there, sadly. So off they went in a limo instead. Congratulations you two!!!
Sara York Grimshaw Designs did a beautiful job of bringing in lush fall florals.
Erin’s sister was one of the flower girls. Isn’t she adorable?
I love this photo of Erin. She looks so fresh, free and excited about her day!
The cotton pod boutonniere is perfect for a wedding at Magnolia Plantation and Gardens and these handsome groomsmen!
They were married under the oaks, overlooking the Ashley River
Look at these stunning bouquets! The monogrammed handkerchief wraps are such a special touch. Erin’s “To have and to hold” is an instant heirloom.
Jennifer Hitchcock helped me photograph their wedding and took this great shot of Erin and her dad after the ceremony. Love it!
While I was taking photos of Ben and Erin, the most adorable ring bearers brought Erin a special gift, flowers they’d plucked. So sweet.
I love this one!
This photo makes me laugh. It is the “behind the scenes” shot! Ellen and Ashley of WED bustle Erin’s dress as as she and Ben sign their wedding license.
This Jim Smeal cake is to die for! The front of the oak has Erin and Ben’s initials carved into the trunk and a lantern hanging from a branch.
There was lots of dancing and some hilarious photo booth shots that went on during the reception…
The weather was crisp and clear, a perfect wedding night.
This is one of my favorite shots form the night, I love the ambiance of a warm glowing tent, stringed lights and Spanish moss.
They left at the end of the night under falling fall leaves. It was the perfect send off for their fall wedding!
