Stephanie & Dave: Seabrook Island Wedding
I thoroughly enjoyed getting to spend a weekend photographing Stephanie and Dave’s Seabrook Island wedding. Hailing from New York, they chose to get married here to share the beauty of the lowcountry with their friends. Of course it doesn’t hurt that Dave’s parents have retired on Seabrook as well!
I had photographed their rehearsal dinner the night before, which I love, as it gives me the chance to meet everyone and to hear a few toasts. What I learned was how special these two are to their friends and families and how right they are for each other.
There was the threat of rain on their wedding day, but thankfully it never actually poured. A few of the photo locations got moved, but in the end, it’s about the people in the photos and not the perfect beach scene. However, we did find the perfect boardwalk for Steph and Dave to stand on and those are some of my favorite photos from their wedding day.
Blue Planet Green Events, who did the flowers, uses only flowers that are native to the area.
Their ceremony was help on the porch of the Clubhouse. Stephanie’s brother married them and then Dave’s aunt gave a really nice homily and led the sand ceremony.
Getting married is a family affair!
All of their siblings were involved, including Steph’s sister, “official golf cart driver”!
I love this one!
The Clubhouse on Seabrook where the wedding and reception were held.
One of Steph’s friends who couldn’t be there put together the most amazing book for her. It was a book of “lessons” and advice gathered form their friends. Each page featured some wisdom along with photos throughout the years. What an incredible keepsake!!!
Their friend Lizzie pats herself on the back for helping to introduce them.
