Family Portraits on Kiawah

November 29, 2012

When you have a family that lives around the world, but comes together for a Thanksgiving vacation, you are wise to have a photographer come and photograph all of you!

I had so much fun meeting this wonderful family to photograph the 4 generations that came together for the holidays out on Kiawah. I hope these photos being back wonderful memories for years to come!

I had to sneak this photo in the post as it’s one of those “behind the scenes” shots. I love taking beautiful portraits of kids, but what you get to see is the edited version. Here’s what it’s really like at a family portrait session! My goal is to find order among the chaos.

Toddlers & Dogs & Christmas Card Photos

November 8, 2012

There are few things I enjoy photographing more than kids and dogs. And when they belong to one of the nicest couples I know, it’s icing on the cake.

Check out this adorable family , I could eat them up!

Charleston Family Portrait

June 5, 2012

Usually guests from out of town like to have their families photographed on the beach. But this wonderful family decided to have their photo session downtown, among all the great textures and architecture of historic downtown Charleston.

These kids were total troopers, following me through the streets as we looked for cobblestones and walls with texture and color. It makes me feel lucky to be a Charleston-ian and live among these wonderful buildings. What a fun shoot!
