Like father, like son.
I love this photo for so many reasons, mostly because it captures you two looking like twins. There are all the objective and technical reasons I love it- the composition, the color, how you are sitting in the foreground, creating the illusion that you two are the same size and accentuating your “twin-ness”.
Then, there is the moment. Your dad does the best job of engaging you in building elaborate lego structures, train track routes and such. We’ve also developed a subtle communication so he understands how to move his leg or hand out of a photo without being offended. I love it when we all collaborate on photos like these. The details weren’t planned, it all just happened.
It makes me wonder if we will ever deliberately collaborate together. I sure hope so. I’d love to be on the other side of your lens. I could hand down some cameras to you and shake up that cliche of every photogrpaher’s bio… “my father gave me my first camera when I was 4…” You will tell them your mom gave you your first camera when you were 1.5, it’s a Fisher Price digital. It takes crappy photos, but you sure do love the sounds it makes when you press “delete”.

love this one!!!
