It occurred to me as I boarded the train today to travel from Marrakech to Fez that you have no concept of the inside of a train! All that Thomas and his buddies who live on the Isle of Sodor every show you is their exteriors.
Well, that is only half of the equation. Then again, Thomas isn’t a passenger train is he? Those are left to Annie and Clarabel. This goes to show that I/we know WAY too much about Thomas and his friends.
Anyway, I think it would blow your mind to know that I got to ride a train alllll day today. My 7-hour journey would have been a mind blowing adventure for you. If this train had a name, like all of Thomas’s friends, I wonder what it would be? We might as well call is “Shamash”.
Actually, I quite liked the aesthetics of the 1st-class compartment I was in. It felt very retro and comfortable. And I can’t wait to take it back so that I can sing a little CSN, finally!

Hi Leigh! Just spent the morning reading all your posts.
Since returning from my photo-adventure in Belize late last night, I’ve already started dreaming of my next one. It’s not Morocco…though that beatiful corner of Africa is definitely on my bucket list. So I’ve thoroughly enjoyed reading your posts and following your journey thus far!!!
